I’m currently collaborating on several projects including two feature films, two feature docs and a new musical! Some info below:
THE OVERVIEW:
“My Sister Bites” is a coming of age vampire thriller with comedic elements, set around a suburban family who come under the spell of a savage group of vampires. When Harry’s big sister, Sophie, returns home from college with her vampire boyfriend Derrick, the family’s 13-year-old son Harry must save the day, and ultimately become the hero alongside his nerdy grownup neighbor, Barry. As Derrick creates a foothold in Harry’s neighborhood, his vampire pack become intent on taking over, by feeding off the home-owners and acclimating to their way of living.
The movie gets big, violent and bloody, with dozens of blood-thirsty vampires combating an army of larpers led by Barry, as Harry and his best friends fight for their survival. Imagine the gang from “Stand By Me” fighting vampires with the Spartans from “300,” and you have “My Sister Bites.”
SHADES OF SHAME is a feature-length documentary that addresses issues of child sexual abuse and the associated trauma. In particular, this film investigates the societal difficulties that men have dealing with their abuse as children and the often debilitating, life-long shame.
In a culture of #metoo and with social barriers collapsing in every area, the issue of child sexual abuse is still a dark and shadowy region where shame prevents dialogue. Across every socio-economic area, in every religion, regardless of gender, there is a conspiracy of silence that strangles us. This film takes a tough and harsh look at our inability to confront the issue and the untruths that surround us at every turn. In a series of interviews we look at the life changing events in the lives of survivors. We return to the scene of the crime and challenge ourselves to heal.
This important documentary will feature not only survivors sharing brutally honest stories, but renown clinicians and experts, including Dr. Vincent Felitti the author of the CDC’s Adverse Childhood Experiences Study (ACE Study) which is widely regarded as the most important current body of research on the connection between childhood trauma and related physical ailments in adulthood.
